Montevideo Bog Te Video Reflection

Montevideo was a movie based in the 1930's about the Serbian football team struggling to raise money for the world cup in Uruguay. The story is being told by a small boy who is friends with Tirke (the main character). The plot line is driven by the conflict character vs society. There are also some side problems involving girls and friends.
All in all it was a very good film. It was a change from all the action and formulated movies. Watching the film, it captured the 1930's quite well, with all the sets, costumes, technology, etc...
I plan to watch the second movie when it comes out.

Slava

A Slava is a Christian Orthodox tradition when one family celebrates their saint with a large feast and inviting friends and family. Slavas can happen for up to three days when the guests come and go when pleased.

In Serbian class we watched a film about Slava's to get a general knowledge on them, this movie took place in the old Serbian town, Nish and was around the 19th century. There were 5 main characters. They were all good friends and except for the fifth because no one knew who he was.

The funniest part of the film was how no one knew who this new guy was.
